Privacy Policy

Feedback you send us. If you use the feedback form we store your message, the page you were on, your browser’s user agent string, and your email address if you chose to give one. The email is optional and only used to reply to you.

Your location, while you are using the site. Finding games near you requires a latitude and longitude, either from your browser’s location permission or from a place name you type. It is sent to our server to run the search. We do not store it in our database or attach it to any profile, because there is no profile to attach it to.

Your IP address, briefly and in memory. Our rate limiter counts requests per IP address to stop abuse. Those counters live in server memory, are keyed per endpoint, and expire within minutes. They are never written to the database.

Things kept on your device, not ours. Followed teams and your location preference are stored in your browser’s local storage. They never reach our servers. Clearing your browser data erases them, and we have no copy.

We use Plausible Analytics to understand which pages are visited and which features are used. Plausible is privacy-focused: it sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data. Because of that, no cookie banner is required. We also record a small number of product events — for example that a “Buy Tickets” link was clicked, or that a search returned no results — so we can tell what is useful and what is missing. These are counts, not records about you.

We use Sentry to capture errors. An error report can include the page URL, your browser and operating system version, and a technical stack trace. We use it only to fix faults.

We do not sell or rent personal information. These providers process data on our behalf, or receive it as a consequence of how the site works:

• Vercel — hosting. Serves every page and records standard server logs, which include IP addresses.
• Neon — the database that stores schedules and feedback.
• Plausible Analytics — aggregate, cookieless usage statistics.
• Sentry — error reports.
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — turns a place name into coordinates. This request is made directly by your browser, so OpenStreetMap sees your IP address rather than ours. We do this deliberately: routing everyone through one of our servers would pool all traffic against a single usage quota and risk the feature being blocked for everybody.
• Ticket sellers — “Buy Tickets” links leave Floodlit for a third-party site such as Vivid Seats, whose own privacy policy then applies.

Some ticket links carry an affiliate tracking parameter that was already attached by the data source we obtained the link from. Floodlit currently receives no commission from any ticket purchase. If that changes, we will say so here and on the pages where the links appear.

Feedback is kept until it has been acted on and is no longer useful for understanding the product. Analytics data is aggregate and holds nothing that identifies you. Error reports expire on Sentry’s standard retention schedule. Rate-limit counters vanish within minutes.

Because there are no accounts, there is usually nothing of yours for us to hold. If you sent feedback and want it deleted, ask and we will delete it — including your email address.

California residents. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You may request access to or deletion of anything we hold about you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

You can clear your followed teams and saved location at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

Floodlit is a general-audience listing of public sporting events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us feedback containing personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above. Floodlit is early and evolving; this page will follow it.
